CCPS continues to work closely with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and Collier County Emergency Management officials to closely monitor the movement and potential impacts of Hurricane Irma.
To provide our students, families, and staff ample time to prepare for Hurricane Irma, we will be closing our schools Thursday and Friday. This includes all CCPS sites and 250-day employees. In light of the impending hurricane, a decision was made to move all football games to Wednesday (September 6, 2017). Also, all weekend events have been postponed.
Additionally, many of our schools are designated as hurricane shelters and have begun preparations this morning.
We will make a decision about Monday later this week as we evaluate the impacts of Irma.
