The Career Resource Lab !
The Career Lab is open from 7:10 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. Appointments to use the lab may be made with your counselor.
The Career Resource Lab has a vast array of tools to aid in a student’s career search. Materials range from books, computer activities and videos, to catalogs, CD-ROMS and individual files for hundreds of educational/training facilities. College catalogs, applications, and general information are updated annually. All materials are available to Barron Collier students on a check out basis. A student may keep most materials for review for a period of two weeks.
The lab is equipped with eight computers for small group activities. Students are encouraged to complete their career and/or educational research during lunch or after-school hours. Students may be accompanied by an instructor or by a Career Counselor. Independent work is allowed upon signing in at the Guidance Office front desk.
Also available in the Career Lab, students will find up-to-date information on careers in the U.S. Military. Information for the local military recruiters is available, as is web site information and military-provided materials for check out.
