ATTENTION SENIORS: NOW is the time to check out the district website for State and Local Scholarships. Some are need-based, others academic merit-based. Just go to the district site: www.collierschools.com
click STUDENTS, then SCHOLARSHIP INFO!
Some organizations have their own application & instructions. Others use the generic CCPS form. Find the link, complete the packet, and submit most of the forms online. Those to be turned in at school, should be given to
Mrs. Hunter, in the Counseling Office, prior to deadline.
Scholarships are valued from $500 to $5,000 and the list is updated weekly.
You must APPLY NOW to be considered! Be aware of approaching deadlines.
These scholarship awards are in addition to any Pell Grant (FAFSA), athletic scholarships, Bright Futures, Pre-paid, or other $$$ you may have for college.
And don’t forget, ALL seniors will be activated for Bright Futures scholarship, here at school, in February, whether you ultimately qualify or not.
You can also check out many websites for College $$$, like: www.fastweb.com and www.dollarsforscholars.org |
|
BCHS Scholarship Reminders
All seniors must complete the online State Financial Aid Application before graduation in order to be eligible for the Bright Futures Scholarship. The majority of seniors have already applied as counselors have met with them via English classes. Any senior who has not done so yet should go online to apply.
www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org |
Even students who are certain of attending an out-of-state college next year should apply. Students have three years to take advantage of a Bright Futures Scholarship as long as they have completed the application, and met the scholarship criteria by the end of their senior year. Please contact your student's counselor if you have any questions. |

| Collier County School Board encourages all parents to educate their children about being "Internet Smart." They are recommending that parents check out the Internet safety site called NetSmartz®. "NetSmartz® is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® and Boys & Girls Clubs of America for children (ages 5-17), parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement that uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach children how to stay safer on the Internet. The NetSmartz Workshop can be accessed at www.NetSmartz.org and www.NetSmartzKids.org." |
