A TEAM CHALLENGE...Students from nine Collier County high schools join students from other Southwest Florida schools in the 25th Annual A Team Challenge. The televised competition honors and fosters academic excellence while presenting a unique opportunity to showcase students’ academic abilities. The A Team Challenge is hosted by NBC-2 Senior Meteorologist Robert Van Winkle.

CLASS ACT...Lely High School: We visit Lely High School and stop in to watch AP US History teacher Brian Milner and his class discuss the similarities and economic factors of the 1892 and 2012 elections.

DISTRICT DIGEST...This week on District Digest we will get some summer advice for moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas about keeping learning alive for our kids. Then we will find out about our free summer meals program for all students 18 years of age and younger. We will share some summer safety tips provided by the NCH Safe & Healthy Childrens Coalition of Collier County. Plus, we will learn what is planned at Rookery Bay this summer.

NAPLES ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN...This month's topic is Summer Safety.   Myra speaks with Lt. Tony Repicky from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. And in the second segment Myra talks with Paula DiGrigoli Executive Director for the Safe & Healthy Children's Coalition of Collier County.
