As a volunteer you have the opportunity to share your time, talents, and resources with the students of Collier County. Our volunteers are a critical part of providing a quality education for all students.

The District School Board of Collier County requires all prospective volunteers to complete a screening process.  The volunteer screening process is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

All prospective volunteers begin the screening process by completing an online application.  Following the completion of the online application, all prospective volunteers are screened through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Sexual Offender and Predator website as well as meet with a school volunteer contact to receive a volunteer orientation.  Following this process, prospective volunteers are able to volunteer as a Level I Volunteer.  Level I Volunteers are supervised by a member of school staff at all times.

If you are a volunteer coach, mentor, or an overnight chaperone, you will need to be screened as a Level II Volunteer.  To become a Level II volunteer, a volunteer must first complete the Level I screening process outlined above.  In addition, fingerprinting is required and the prospective volunteer Level II must meet the District’s screening criteria.  Prospective Level II Volunteers must bring the Level II Fingerprinting Authorization Form (provided by the school volunteer contact) at the time of fingerprinting.  To schedule a fingerprinting appointment through the website, please click here

Please contact your school volunteer contact if you have any questions regarding the volunteer program.

We greatly appreciate your participation in our volunteer program!
