    What Is JROTC'S Mission

JROTC stands for Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, its sole purpose is  “to motivate young people to be better citizens”. It was established in 1916 and is funded through a partnership between the Department of Defense and local School Districts. JROTC is not intended, designed, nor permitted to prepare or recruit young people for a career in the military. The Titan Battalion's mission is to educate high school students in leadership roles while making them aware of the benefits of citizenship.

    RECENT EVENTS:

Golden Gate High School Army JROTC 2018 SeaPerch Project
    SeaPerch's being build and adapted
    SeaPerch Swimming
The SeaPerch Project was generously funded by a grant from AT&T through the assistance of Champions for Learning. Students designed, built and adapted an underwater remotely operated vehicle(ROV) while using the engineering design loop to solve a real world problem: reduce pollution in SWFL waterways. Students spent 4.5 hours a week with a local business partner specializing in hydraulic engineering to understand how to better achieve their goal. All students developed a clear understanding of electrical circuits and properties of liquids as they relate to buoyancy, thrust and their effects on each design. Students started to develop and appreciate concepts in problem solving and error correction in order to accomplish their desired end state.
