Mr. Huneke is originally from New Jersey. He moved here in July of 2014 with his wife Katie and two boys, Grady and Finn. Mr. Huneke graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor’s degree in History. In his free time he loves playing baseball, golf, and basketball. He is excited to be a Manatee Hurricane and looks forward to being involved in every aspect of MMS’s success.

Mrs. Micieli was raised in Naples, Florida and is very excited to be a Naples High graduate. She earned her AA in Education from Edison State College and went on to receive her BA in Special Education from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is trilled to be a part of the Hurricane staff for a second full year!

Mrs. Shearer is originally from Washington, D.C. and has lived in Naples since 1981. She graduated from the University of Maryland with bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She later earned two degrees in education from Florida universities: bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. This is her 30th year in education and her 5th year at Manatee Middle School. Mrs. Shearer is excited to teach 6th grade history this year and looks forward to working with a wonderful team of professionals and students.
