Guest Teacher Requirements & Process:
NOTICE TO APPLICANTS - 1/6/09:
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our online application system. We are working to resolve the issue and hope to have the online application working as soon as possible.
In order to be considered for a Guest Teacher you must meet the following requirements:
New Guest Teacher requirements:
- Complete INSTRUCTIONAL online application
- AA Degree or higher (official transcripts required)
- 2 Professional references (within the past year)
- Completed TeacherInsight survey (prompted at the end of the application)
- 21 years of age
- Sub Hub training (Fee: $25)
- Valid email address
- Intent letter
- New hire meeting
- Orientation (1 day ~ Fee: $30)
- On-site training (1 day ~ Fee: $25)
- Fingerprint/drug screening (Fee: $70)
Previous Guest/Contracted Teacher requirements (within the past year):
- Current INSTRUCTIONAL online application (within the past year)
- 2 Professional references (within the past year)
- Current TeacherInsight survey (prompted at the end of the application)
- Valid email address
- Sub-Hub Online Training (Fee: $25.00)
- Intent letter
- New Hire meeting
- Current fingerprint (if current – no fee)
- Drug screening (no fee)

Steps for Guest Teacher Instructional Applicants:
- Complete Instructional Application ~ including:
- Completing the TeacherInsight survey
- 2 Professional References
- Official transcripts
- Once your application is complete, Human Resources will notify you of your status and the link for the on-line Sub Hub training.
- References will be checked and interview conducted. Upon completion of the screening process, Human Resources will notify all applicants of their status in the process.
- Applicants who move forward in the process will be required to:
- Make an appointment one week before new hire meeting for fingerprinting and drug screening (Fee: $70)
- Attend a half day new hire meeting to complete paperwork and be trained on the AESOP system. Please bring original social security card for payroll purposes and valid driver’s license.
- Provide Sub Hub “Certificate of Completion” certificates for all 5 courses at new hire meeting
- Complete I-9 form and provide acceptable documentation.
- If applicable ~ provide check or money order for orientation and training.
- Applicant will attend 1 day orientation and 1 day on-site school training.
*The link to register for fingerprinting/drug screening will be emailed to you from Human Resources once you are able to move forward in the hiring process. You will also be sent the link to register to attend the following:
- Guest Teacher New Hire Meeting
- Orientation
- On-site Training
These meeting are done consecutively, please be prepared to attend all three on one of the consecutive dates below:

*No one will be admitted to meetings without interview, fingerprinting, drug screening and Sub Hub training completed. Do not register for fingerprinting/drug screening or new hire/orientation meetings until Human Resources clears you to move forward.
Applicant will be notified by email when they are cleared to begin Guest Teaching.
