SEMINAR FOR TOMORROW'S LEADERS

Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders (S4TL) is a week long program of lectures, discussions, "rap sessions," motivational talks, and interchanges of ideas/concepts to improve leadership abilities. High School students attending the Seminar are challenged to utilize all available skill, knowledge, talent, expertise, and intelligence toward specific goals and objectives. The ultimate objective/goal of the Seminar is for each student to leave the Seminar with a new awareness of himself/herself, and be more finely tuned to utilize their given abilities to serve others in leadership capacities throughout life. This event is sponsored by the Rotary International and held on the campus of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. Dates TBA. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
Entrepreneurship is transforming America--not just for a few, but for all of us and for the better. Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. They are preparing for jobs, scientific research and inter-global communication modules that are still to be created. Junior Achievement and Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University present CEO Academy, a none week camp to help prepare our young people to be outstanding leaders and CEO's of tomorrow. This program is for rising juniors and seniors and will take place in the summer of 2010. A $50 application fee is required and the application deadline is April 11. Please see your counselor for additional details and pre-approval. All summer programs must be pre-approved.
EXCEL IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA
University of Central Florida has a new and exciting program called EXCEL in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Excel is a program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and its primary goal is to increase the success during the first two years in college of UCF students pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) discipline.
Please visit the UCF website to learn more about the EXCEL program and an on-line application. Students are encouraged to apply on-line and are accepted into the program on a rolling basis. Only students who have applied to UCF and have been accepted to UCF will be considered.
