Syllabus:

Career Experiences is an internship program offered to second year Naples High School students who are interested in developing work behaviors and attitudes that are necessary for successful employment.

Career Placement is a cooperative work experience in which students are employed in career oriented occupations.  Students earn while they learn!

Classroom, Homework and Attendance Policies:

Career Experiences students intern from Monday through Thursday but on Fridays they meet in the classroom and work related subjects are explored.  Occasionally, a few homework assignments are assigned but as this is a performance-based class, student progress is evaluated by demonstration.

Career Placement students are released from school, usually during fourth block, to go to their employment within the Naples Community. They are required to turn in monthly time sheets documenting their work hours.  Their performance in this coursed is based upon their supervisor’s work evaluation and their demonstrated work behavior.
