Personal Information:

Before beginning my teaching career here in Florida, in addition to working as an Adjunct Instructor, Academic Advisor, & Career Counselor while in graduate school at the University of WI-LaCrosse, I spent five years in Portland, Oregon working as a Case Manager for Worker's Compensation claims. I moved to Naples in October 2005 and have been teaching in Collier County since February 2006.  After spending the second term of the 2005 - 2006 school year at Barron Collier HS as a Teacher on Special Assignment working with Gifted students, I worked at Gulf Coast HS last year in Exceptional Student Education, co-teaching Biology, History, and English. Here at NHS, I am an Inclusion teacher, responsible for providing assistance to ESE students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) enrolled in regular education classes.

Accommodations may include extended time on quizzes, tests, or class assignments; providing editing assistance; reading to student; checking work to determine level of understanding, including breaking directions down into manageable parts; and/or providing small group settings or 1:1 assistance as needed.
