Fundamental Beliefs
- Our school is a community of diverse participants engaged in a dynamic educational process.
- Students, parents, staff members, and community members--all defined as participants in the educational process and stakeholders in the school's success--must work together for individual responsibility, achievement, excellence in education, and empowerment to functional in and contribute to an ever-changing world.
- In the educational process, all participants are valued individuals with unique physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
- All participants in the educational process can learn and realize their highest potential in a safe, orderly, nurturing environment characterized by mutual respect, integrity, high expectation, consistent support, and positive relationships.
- Recognizing that individuals learn in different ways, participants in the learning community must develop creative, challenging, engaging curricular and extra-curricular opportunities to foster active participation, responsibility, accountability, and growth.
- Recognizing the position of the school as a part of local, state, regional, national, and international communities, all participants must strive for life-long learning, productive careers, responsible, and global consciousness.
- Self-esteem, unity, and pride grow through community vision, individual and group goals, and shared achievement.
