Looking Back : The 1980s

In 1980 the yearbook staff wrote: "Naples is a rapidly growing city,
having come from a 1960 population of 4,655 to a present population of 18,000;
but no matter how large Naples becomes, there will always be certain landmarks
which will bring back memories of the town
as we knew it...getting Hot-to-Go at 7-11..."
Sorry to say, but it's long gone!

Hay in the pants? These 1981 NHS students are into a stickly situation--1981 Neapolitan.

the popular game, Defencer, at the Goldmine in Coastland Mall in 1982.

There was still a lot of greenspace surrounding Naples High in 1986.

Making a fashion statement, dressed in an unordinary combination of casual jams and dressy blazers, these NHS fashion plates were attending the Student Council Dinner in 1988.

Dressed from head to toe in spirit, this NHS student shows his attitude while waiting to be introduced as a varsity player at a pep rally. According to the 1989 Neapolitan, hairdos like this one were worn by some of the more enthusiastic football players.
