Authors and Holidays
for 1st and 2nd graders

Our students and staff think we have special media center because it has so much to offer.

We have an ever-expanding collection of picture, fiction, and nonfiction books, along with audio books, Spanish books, and magazines just for students.
Classes come in once a month for media skills lessons and students may visit daily to checkout books and use the library resources.
Students use computers to access the online card catalog and take Accelerated Reader tests. We also have a laptop lab for whole class or small group use.
Our library supports the Accelerated Reader program with more than 7,500 AR titles.
The morning news show broadcasts from the library daily. It is run by a team of savvy fifth grade students.

Our Mission

Naples Park Elementary School Media Center is dedicated to providing a foundation for lifelong learning by combining effective learning and teaching strategies and activities with information access skills that will ensure that all students can interact effectively with information and construct meaningful knowledge to acquire academic skills necessary to be successful in society.
