Employees Recognized
It was a week in Collier County’s Public Schools, with six employees being recognized as employees of the year. The six received the news in surprise classroom visits from Superintendent, Dr. Kamela Patton or Chief Instructional Officer, Beth Thompson.

Khris Betten-Jutasi of Lorenzo Walker Technical High School – Collier County’s Nominee for Florida Department of Education-Macy’s Teacher of the Year

Denise Henderson of Manatee Middle School – Collier County Middle School Teacher of the Year

Bob Bentley of Naples High School – Collier County High School Teacher of the Year

Chris Fowler of Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology – Collier County Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year

Steven Mendez of Veterans Memorial Elementary School (Plant Operator) – Collier County’s Nominee for Florida School-Related Employee of the Year

John Davis of Pelican Marsh Elementary School - Collier County Elementary Teacher of the Year.
