2011 Town Hall Meetings

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kamela Patton, held a series of six Town Hall Meetings this fall to have face-to-face conversations with the community about topics such as student achievement, standards-based progress reports, graduation requirements, the new science program, the importance of parents reading with their children, and parent involvement. Community members were invited to submit questions in advance or ask their questions during the meetings. Over 1,500 community members attended the Town Hall Meetings where, in addition to a discussion with Dr. Patton, they enjoyed musical performances by students at each school.
