Immokalee High School BETA Club wins at state convention

The Immokalee High School BETA Club is at it again! They recently competed at the Florida State Convention in Orlando where they took home 18 awards. The BETAs won first place in the following categories: BETA Build, Scrapbook, Spotlight on Service, Character Skit, Living Literature, Group Talent, and Campaign Skit. They placed second in the State Officers Service Project, Banner, Robotics, and Fresh Look at BETA. As for individual awards, Jennifer Villa placed first in Digital Art, and Levi Bell won Language Arts Division 1. Second place awards went to the following: Karen Santos Reyes, Science Division 1; Andrea Hernandez, Math Division 1; Joshilia Jean Marie, Poetry Division 1; and Nallely Sanchez, Spanish Division 2. Alyssa Ramirez placed third in sculpture. Junior Chrissy Perez received the honor of being elected BETA State Secretary.  Congratulations, BETAs, and a big thank you to club sponsor, Linda Ayer!
