Attendance Policy & High School Course Credit

Parents of high school students should know that, as of the 2010-2011 school year, there is a new High School Course Credit Policy in effect for students attending Collier County Public Schools. It includes new attendance requirements to earn credit. They are: (1) attain a passing average for the semester; (2) accumulate no more than NINE days absent for semester (note: no distinction between excused, validated, and unexcused when calculating absences for earning credit); and (3) if you choose to appeal, you must file your appeal within ten days of the date you receive notification of loss of credit.
