Adobe Acrobat is a family of application software developed by Adobe Systems to view, create, manipulate, print and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF). All members of the family, except Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat Reader), are commercial software; Adobe Reader however, is available as freeware and can be downloaded from Adobe's web site. Adobe Reader enables users to view and print PDF files but has negligible PDF creation capabilities. Acrobat and Reader are widely used as a way to present information with a fixed layout similar to a paper publication.
Adobe LiveCycle Designer is proprietary software from Adobe that helps the user create digital templates for documents and forms that are interactive and user-friendly.
Word is a word-processing program used for creating a variety of documents to meet your specific needs. Understanding the basic features and functions of this interface enables you to be more productive and efficient in your work.
Excel is a powerful tool for managing any type of data within workbooks and spreadsheets. Excel makes it simple and easy to use calculations and pre-defined formulas to create budgets, organize financial data, crunch statistical information, and much more.
Powerpoint is a versatile tool for creating dynamic presentations. You can create a customized, professional-looking presentation to meet your specific needs. By using the variety of themes, designs, and layouts, your presentation quickly takes place.
Outlook is a comprehensive collaboration tool for organizing all your email, calendars, tasks, and appointments in one place. Outlook 2007 makes it easy to send and receive email, coordinate schedules and meetings, and keep track of important contacts and tasks.
Publisher helps you create, personalize, and share a wide range of professional-quality publications and marketing manuals. Whether you are creating brochures, newsletters, postcards, greeting cards, or e-mail newsletters, you can deliver high-quality results without having graphic design experience.
FINANCE - General Overview
This training is designed to give you a basic overall knowledge of what type of data exists in the TERMS FINANCE System. Components covered during this session include: Purchasing Queries, Accounts Payable Queries and Budget Queries.
FINANCE - Purchasing Requisition Entry
This training is designed to give you working knowledge of entering purchasing requisitions.
FINANCE - Budget Amendments
This training is designed to give you working knowledge of maintaining your budget online in the TERMS FINANCE System.
HR – Human Resources Inquiry
This training is designed to give users working knowledge of how to view employee records assigned to their responsibility center in the TERMS Human Resources system.
PAYROLL – Leave Form Entry/HR Inquiry
This training is designed to give users working knowledge of how to enter leave forms and query employee information in the TERMS HR/PAYROLL system.
STUDENT - General Overview
This training is designed to give you a basic overall knowledge of what type of data exists in the TERMS Student Information System. You will learn quick and easy ways to move around the TERMS STUDENT panels to make your job easier. Components covered during this session include: School Enrollment Summary (percentages and counts), Demographic/Basic Enrollment, Attendance, Discipline, Grades, Standardized Tests and Special Programs.
STUDENT - Attendance and Discipline
This training is for those who inquire/add attendance and/or discipline records to students. You will learn how to inquire on school discipline and attendance records and individual student discipline and attendance records.
TERMS Overview & Report Processing
This course helps you get familiar with the TERMS atmosphere, quick keystrokes, series options, panels, entering and accessing information, etc. The Report Processing end focuses on setting up your request cards to generate reports, print/display reports, access online report catalogs, etc. Remember to "Save Paper".
This training is designed to give you basic knowledge of how to view and print reports from OptiSpool Web.
This training will provide basic information on the Florida Automated System for Transferring Educational Records.
Technology Training (New Hires)
This Training Session is designed to introduce our computer system software to new CCPS employees. Attendees will be able to successfully log-on to our system, utilize desktop software, communicate electronically using our email system, and maneuver their way through our website; all while practicing/enforcing the regulations of security awareness.
Spool Explorer/EZ Pickin's
iSeries (TERMS) reports can easily be selected, downloaded and converted to text files by end users with Spool-Explorer(link to SPlX page), our iSeries to PC, E-mail & Web Spool File Distribution Tool. Spool-Explorer is seamlessly integrated with EZ-Pickin's allowing you to open spool files directly in EZ-Pickin's and by prompting for any existing EZ-Pickin's Models (templates) that you want to use for the report. This integrated process allows end-users to become completely self-sufficient and improve workflow and reduce printing costs. EZ-Pickin's can extract data from virtually any computer generated text report, including complex reports with headers, footers and multiple sort levels. EZ-Pickin's reads report files sent from any AS/400 - iSeries - i5, mainframe, client/server or PC system.
ANGEL LMS is used to create Virtual Learning Environments for online learning and to offer hybrid or blended (web-enhanced) classes and online training. Silk Scheduler Plus® is Collier County's course scheduling system for Middle and High Schools. The scheduler builds master schedules, performs student batch scheduling, and individual student walk-in scheduling in a familiar point-and-click environment. Through the sharing of data with the district AS400 and DataWareHouse, SILK also provides a useful mix of general information that is easily accessible.
