Welcome to Golden Gate Elementary School, where students step up and lead!  It is an honor and privilege to serve as the new Principal of this school and work with the dedicated students, staff, families, and community members.  With an emphasis on leadership, students are provided opportunities to showcase their talents and leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom.  As a Leader in Me Lighthouse school, students will continue to set academic and personal wildly important goals. Our committed staff works with the students to achieve their goals and we celebrate student achievements daily.  GGE provides a safe and comfortable learning environment where children can become risk takers and work through productive struggles confidently. Productive struggle will help our students develop strong habits of the mind including perseverance, flexible thinking, and active learning.  We greatly value the partnerships we have with our parents and the community. I am so happy to be joining the Seagull family at Golden Gate Elementary as your Assistant Principal. I am originally from a small town near Syracuse, NY, but have called Florida my home since 1992 and Naples has been my home since 2003. I have worked for CCPS over 16 years as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, ESE Program Specialist and Administrator. Prior to GGE, I was an Assistant Principal for seven years at Manatee Elementary and Laurel Oak Elementary schools. When not at school, I enjoy spending time at the beach or outdoors with my husband, son, daughter, and dog. I look forward to working with GGE students, families and community members. I am passionate about helping all students reach their personal and academic goals. I am especially looking forward to helping our students “Go for the Gold” this year!
