    Diana Little, Principal

Welcome to Big Cypress Elementary…Home of the honest, kind, and responsible BOBCATS. It is a privilege to be the principal of a school with such dedicated students, parents and staff! If you haven’t had a chance to visit us, our campus has a distinctive, natural setting with a beautiful koi pond, butterfly and school garden and our famous “Paw’s Garden” home to many native plants and wildlife. Unique to BCE, our Related Arts rotation includes an innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) class. There are many ways to be involved in our school, so please consider joining the SAC (School Advisory Council) or the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) that meet monthly. Our active PTA hosts events throughout the school year like our Parent Breakfasts, Book Fair, Harvest Festival, Holiday Shop, Ice Cream Social, and Bobcat Walk.  Please check out our website for dates and times for all activities and to stay connected with BCE. It is always a great day to be a BOBCAT!

     Mr. Brandon Carter, Assistant Principal
Welcome to Big Cypress Elementary.  I am honored to have the opportunity to be the school’s assistant principal.

I am originally from Chicago and I have spent the past several years in Collier County as a civics teacher, a team leader, and an Athletic Director.  My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor, a Master of Educational Leadership from American College of Education, and a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University’s School of Law—Bloomington.

One of my goals as the assistant principal is to serve and to work with students, teachers, and the community in nurturing student achievement.  Big Cypress has a remarkable reputation for creating a positive atmosphere for student success and I am glad to be a part of this amazing school and staff.  Simply put, I am proud to be a Bobcat!
