Seal of Biliteracy
- Rule 6A-1.09951, Requirements for the Florida Seal of Biliteracy Program was approved by the State Board of Education at the February 16, 2017 meeting. Memo from the Chancellor can be found here.
- Students can qualify for a seal of biliteracy through option 1, earning four (4) foreign language course credits in the same foreign language with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale in those foreign language courses.

Has earned four (4) foreign language course credits in the same foreign language with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale. This cumulative grade point average applies only to students earning the seal of biliteracy through completing four foreign language course credits, and the cumulative grade point average applies only to the four foreign language courses. If students earn the seal of biliteracy through a score or performance level on the World Language AP or AICE examinations the grade point average requirement does not apply.
