Parent Information

  • Important Information for Parents

    Attendance

Excessive absences may result in dismissal from the program.  If your child is absent, please contact your school site immediately. Upon your child's return to school, a note must be provided explaining the reason for your child’s absence. Absences of three (3) days or greater require a doctor's note.

A Family Service Worker will contact you regarding student absences that extend beyond two (2) days without prior approval.

If you have any health questions about sending your child to school, please call the clinic at your child’s school.

    Drop-off times and Pick-up times

Timely drop-off and pick-up is required. Please check with your individual site for exact times and follow their procedures.

Late drop-offs or pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program. In case of an emergency that may result in a late
pick-up, you must notify your child’s school.

    Contact Information is Important

If you move, change telephone numbers, or if your emergency numbers change, please notify the Family Service Worker and your school site.

Every child should have at least two (2) current emergency phone contacts. This is for the protection of your child.

Children should be taught their full name, address, and phone number, in case of an emergency.

    Abuse and Neglect Reporting

All persons are mandated by Florida Statute to report any suspected or confirmed cases of child abuse and/or neglect. There are no exceptions.

Failure to report can result in criminal or civil liability. All child abuse reports and records are confidential.

We thank you for your cooperation in these matters and we are looking forward to a very successful year.
