  • Thank you for your interest in playing for the 6-time district and 4 time regional champion Barron Collier High School Boys Golf Team! Mandatory tryouts will occur starting on Monday August 5, 2024 at Noon.  We will play 18 holes (or as many holes as we can) during tryouts. Plan would be to continue tryouts on Wednesday August 7, Thursday August 8, Friday August 9 and Monday August 12 (If necessary).   

     

     Tryouts will be held at the Club at Pelican Bay at 707 Gulf Park Drive off US #41.

    • We will play at approximately 6500 yards at tryouts to replicate tournament conditions during our season.
    • Please prepare to walk the golf course up to 18 holes consecutive days during tryouts.  Bring all equipment necessary to play golf and plan accordingly!  Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hat and rain gear.  We will play in rain.  Push carts are allowed.
    • IMPORTANT:  Dress code will be collared golf shirt, tucked in, belt and proper length shorts (no short shorts/denim) with athletic footwear preferably golf shoes.  Student will be denied access to tryout if not dressed properly.
    • Our team size has ranged from 7-9 players in the past.  Barron Collier does not have a JV Boys Golf Team.
    • Team expectations and goals will be passed out at tryouts.  Abiding by these expectations is required for those who make the team. Those who make varsity are expected to be at all practices, to be communicative and to work hard.  A schedule of matches and tournaments will be forthcoming once finalized.

    Prior to tryouts, all student-athletes participating in tryouts must have navigated to https://www.aktivate.com/ to provide the necessary information, including an updated physical! As of 5/10/23, the Collier County School District switched over to a program called Aktivate for all of our Activities Dept. paperwork needs. The athleticclearance.com website and sportsyou app will no longer be used. Home campus is built into Aktivate so all of your needs will be in one place for info/documents/communication.   • Welcome to the BC Girls' Golf Team. It’s going to be a great 2024 Season!

    Girls golf tryouts, which are mandatory, will take place BEFORE the first week of school, starting on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Kensington Golf & Country Club at 2700 Pine Ridge Rd.

    All incoming players will be evaluated at the range and play 9 holes (or as many holes as we can) during tryouts. The plan will be to continue tryouts on Wednesday 8/7 and Thursday 8/8 as well as on the following week after school as necessary, with the final roster set by 8/15. Tryouts will be held at the Kensington Golf & Country Club at 2700 Pine Ridge Rd.

    Please prepare to walk the golf course up to 9 holes on consecutive days during tryouts.  Bring all the equipment necessary to play golf and plan accordingly! Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hat and rain gear. Push carts are allowed, encouraged with umbrellas for shade.

      • Dress code will be golf skirts/shorts with appropriate length, golf slacks or capris, golf blouses/shirts with sleeves or a collar (or both) with athletic footwear, preferably golf shoes. Students will be denied access to try out if not dressed properly.
