    Induction academy participants are mentored by experienced CCPS leaders who provide ongoing support and feedback throughout the leadership development process. The Office of School Leadership and Performance has helped develop these experiences based on the following core practices:

    1. High-quality training for mentors is a requirement
    2. Feedback on mentoring efficacy is critical to the continuous improvement cycle
    3. Access to mentoring is a multi-year commitment
    4. Resources must be allocated to mentoring to ensure quality experiences
    5. The goal of mentoring is to help create visionary school leaders who are prepared for the challenge of improving student learning
