Instructional Contractors

  •  Steps to Obtain an Instructional Contractor Badge

    Pursuant to the Jessica Lunsford Act of Florida statute related to the screening and processing of contractor badges, the District has implemented several classifications of contractors based on services provided. Instructional Contractors shall be screened and cleared in accordance with the guidelines used for District employees. Click HERE for more information. Contractors are NOT permitted to be on any CCPS property or to work in any capacity (including virtually) until a badge has been issued.

    Please review the following steps to be screened and issued a CCPS Contractor badge:

    1. Certificate of Insurance (COI) and Approved Contract (MOU)

    • Both items must be on file with the CCPS Legal Department before your organization/company can be approved to request a contractor badge
    • COI must name Collier County Public Schools as the additional insured

    3. Fingerprint Clearance

    • Human Resources will review the completed Contractor Company & Employee Information roster form and identify those that need to be fingerprinted
    • Human Resources will send fingerprint instructions to the organization/company contact to share with the individuals needing to be fingerprinted
    • The individual will use the instructions to schedule a fingerprint appointment online through a third-party vendor
    • The cost to be fingerprinted is $73.25 and is paid by the individual at the time of scheduling the fingerprint appointment online

     

    4. Certification Clearance

    • The CCPS Certification department must receive and review all applicable certification documents before a contractor badge can be issued

    5. Badge Photo  

    • The individual will need to submit a headshot photo for their contractor badge. This can be accomplished by the contracting agency taking the photo and emailing it to contractor@collierschools.com, or by the individual coming to the CCPS Administrative Center, Human Resources office to be taken. 
    • If the agency will be taking the photo, please ensure it meets the following criteria:
      • Photo must be taken against a plain white background with sufficient lighting
      • Remove all hats, sunglasses, masks, and other items 
      • Photo should be of the face only (headshot)
    • The photo should be saved with the individual's first and last name before sending it to contractor@collierschools.com

     

    5. Badge Pickup

    • Once fingerprint results AND certification documents are cleared and the badge photo is received, an email will be sent to the agency’s contact for badge pickup
    • Badges can be picked up at the CCPS Human Resources Office located at: 5775 Osceola Trail, Naples, FL 34109
      • Regular hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 4:30PM
      • Our office is closed on Friday during the summer (June/July)

    If you are an existing CCPS Contractor and need a replacement badge, please email contractor@collierschools.com. The fee to replace a lost or damaged CCPS badge is $10.00 and can be paid via check or money order.
