EXCEPTIONALITY: Other Health Impairment, OHI
- Other health impairment means having limited strength, vitality or alertness, including a heightened alertness to environmental stimuli
- This impairment results in limited alertness with respect to the educational environment, that is due to chronic or acute health problems
- The impairment may include, but not limited to:

- Asthma
- Attention deficit or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Tourette syndrome
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Heart conditions
- Hemophilia
- Lead poisoning
- Leukemia
- Nephritis
- Rheumatic fever
- Sickle cell anemia
- Acquired brain injury
- Students with OHI may be eligible for an Individual Education Plan or a 504 Accommodation Plan
