GGM Courses in the CTE Department
Entrepreneurship class teaches students to become entrepreneurs by identifying a problem, creating a product, and selling their product during Marketplace Day in December.
Automation & Robotics explores robotics. The students work in teams to build mechanical systems and automate them with programmed input and output devices.
Medical Detectives students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they collect and analyze medical data to diagnose disease. They solve medical mysteries through hands-on labs and projects, investigate disease outbreaks, and explore how a breakdown in the human body can lead to dysfunction.
Business Keyboarding is an introductory keyboarding, word processing, electronic presentation, computer hardware, and Internet course. Students will work on obtaining skills for business applications and obtaining industry certifications to include in future resumes.
Computer Applications is an intermediate course focusing on keyboarding, word processing, electronic presentation, and the Internet, as well as introductory spreadsheet skills. Students will continue to work on skills for business applications and obtain industry certifications to include in future resumes.
Digital Information Technology explores the use of databases, the Internet, social media, spreadsheets, presentation applications, management of personal information, document manipulation, HTML, web page design, and integration of programs. This is a high school credit course.
