Graduation Checklist

  • During orientation, the student and parent/guardian is provided with a graduation plan to follow that is specific to the student. Each student must earn his/her 18.0 core credit classes, obtain a 2.0 GPA, and pass the reading and math test requirements to earn a diploma.

Students will graduate and receive diplomas from their home schools. It is the student's responsibility to contact the home school for graduation procedures, such as cap/gown purchase and graduation practices.

Graduation Test Requirements

  • If the student is missing the reading and/or math test score(s) for graduation, he/she will be expected to participate in intensive classes to help prepare the student for the test(s). Reading and math teachers will conduct small pull-out groups with a combination of online prep and direct instruction to teach skills, strategies, and content. The intensive classes are NOT optional for those who have not passed the test(s).

If students finish their credits, earn a 2.0 GPA, but do NOT pass the reading and/or math tests, they will receive a certificate of completion, not a diploma. Therefore, the test preparation is very important for students to participate in.
