Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Collier County Public Schools! Volunteers are a contributing factor to the success of CCPS and we recognize and appreciate the positive impact you have on all our CCPS students and staff. Thank you for your commitment to our students, staff, and community.
Current Volunteers: All volunteer applications expire every June 30th. If you wish to volunteer during the 22/23 school year, please submit a new volunteer application by clicking the link "Apply to Volunteer" and follow the steps outlined below.
Effective July 1, 2022, the District implemented some significant changes to the volunteer program to simplify and enhance the application and screening process. These changes include:
*Expedited application approval process at the school
*Online volunteer portal to take badge pictures (Coming Soon!)
*Expedited badge printing process at the school
*New designation of "Volunteer" (replaces former Level 1 / Level 2 designations)
*New volunteer badge template for enhanced security
*Fingerprints are now only required for volunteers participating in overnight or out-of-county trips
If you are a current or former volunteer, these changes will require you to complete a new volunteer application and follow the steps outlined below. You will be issued a new volunteer badge once approved. Former Level 2 volunteers will not be re-fingerprinted unless participating in an overnight or out-of-county trip.
All prospective volunteers are required to complete an online volunteer application, present a valid US-issued photo ID, and review volunteer orientation materials to become eligible to volunteer. The prospective volunteer cannot participate in any volunteer activities until these steps have been completed and the application has been approved by the school.
Steps to become a school-based volunteer (New & Returning):
1. Apply to volunteer by clicking "Apply to Volunteer".
2. Contact the school's volunteer support contact to complete the following:
* Present valid US-issued photo identification at the school
* Have badge picture taken at the school
* Complete volunteer orientation
3. Once the items in step two have been completed the school's volunteer contact will print your volunteer badge. Please note there is a 2-3 day delay before the badge will be printed and available for pickup. The school can issue you a temporary visitor pass until the badge is printed, if necessary.
Overnight / Out-of-County Trips
If you will be participating in overnight or out-of-county trips, please contact the school's volunteer contact at least three (3) weeks prior to the trip to complete the necessary forms and fingerprinting requirements.
Charter School & Program Volunteers
The District partners with several local Charter schools, programs and non-profit organization's to support the volunteer application and screening process. All prospective volunteers are required to present a valid US-issued photo ID to be eligible to volunteer. The prospective volunteer cannot participate in any volunteer activities until the application has been approved and the school, program or organization has received a clearance (approval) email from the District office.
The steps to become a new volunteer and to renew an expired application may vary from one program or organization to the next. Please contact the appropriate volunteer contact for assistance with the application process.
