CASSIE BARONE
Athletic Director/Activities Coordinator
E-MailMrs. Barone joined Naples High School as the Athletic Director/Activities Coordinator in the Fall of 2021. As a 2002 graduate of Naples High School, Cassie Barone is excited to continue to help grow, enrich, and support her Alma Mater. After graduating from Naples High, Barone attended the University of Florida, earning a degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences in the College of Health and Human Performance. In 2006, she completed a full-time internship at Naples High School under former NHS Athletic Director Ernie Modugno.
Before joining the Golden Eagles, Cassie worked as an Athletic Administrator at Community School of Naples and The Village School of Naples. In addition, she has been a successful Cross Country and Track and Field coach. Twice she was named as the FACA 1A Cross Country Coach of the Year. Her teams have won multiple individual and team state titles, but she is the first to comment that she values the opportunity to get to know so many student-athletes over any of the wins or accolades. She feels privileged to have been their coach.
Cassie has served on both the Sectional Appeals Committee and the Representative Assembly of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Locally, she is a member of the City of Naples’ Community Services Advisory Board, an active volunteer at her children’s schools, and a volunteer coach for the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Team.
She is married to her running partner, Dan (NHS ’01), and they have two children who are future Golden Eagles: Lorelai and Shalane. She is looking forward to another successful year supporting the Golden Eagles.
