Effective July 1, 2022, the McKay Scholarship Program became part of the Family Empowerment Scholarship Program under the Unique Abilities category. For information on the transition process, see McKay transition to FES: FAQs.One segment of the Family Empowerment Scholarship Program is designed to offer families of students with disabilities (who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or an approved medical diagnosis), as young as 3 years of age, access to additional education options. Families may enroll their student in a different public school than their zoned school by applying online at www.collierschools.com/parentalchoice to request a public school transfer.
