Giraffe Video Conference at Naples Zoo - May 28, 2015In cooperation with Naples Zoo and Dr. Julian Fennessy of the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, Collier County Public Schools participated in a live three-way broadcast interactively connecting local second graders to giraffes and keepers in the Zoo and with Dr. Fennessy in Windhoek, Namibia, Africa.
iSTEM Competition - May 16, 2015 The 2nd Annual iSTEM Competition was held May 16, 2015, on Florida SouthWestern State College's Collier Campus. The competition allows students to simulate real world experiences, work as teams, and compete on a county level.
Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition - May 2015Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) held its second annual Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition at Hodges University on May 8th & 15th, 2015. Bob Spano Tribute - April 14, 2015Principal Bob Spano of Everglades City School will be retiring at the end of this school year. This innovative leader started as a teacher in 1978 and he has served Collier County students as Principal for 22 years, whether it was elementary, middle, or high school.
Everglades City School Aquafest - March 28, 2015Everglades City School hosted Aquafest on March 28, 2015 to feature the school's Aquaculture Program.
The event also raised more than $7,000 for the school's activities and programs.
Teams from several CCPS high, middle, and elementary schools gathered at Florida Gulf Coast University to complete in the 3rd annual Solar Go-Kart Challenge.

Oakes Farms is the bid-winning distributor of fresh produce that reaches our students’ trays each school day for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FVPP) and the Farm-to-School Snack Program (F2SS).
