There are two types of Flexible Spending Accounts, which are described below.
Health FSA
Your Health FSA election will reimburse you for eligible expenses you, your spouse and your dependents incur during the plan year. All you have to do is elect the amount you want withheld before taxes from each paycheck and send Allegiance a reimbursement request with documentation of your eligible expenses to be reimbursed. The entire annual amount you elect can be used at any time during the year.- The maximum health FSA election for 2024 may not exceed $3,200 ($160 per paycheck) and is deducted pre-tax to pay for eligible health care expenses.
- The maximum health FSA election for 2025 may not exceed $3,300 ($165 per paycheck) and is deducted pre-tax to pay for eligible health care expenses.
- Over-the-counter items will only be eligible if they are prescribed.
- Includes a debit card that can be used to provide immediate access to FSA funds at the point of purchase. As always, you should retain copies of receipts for all FSA expenses in case you are required to submit documentation for the expense to be approved.
- The CCPS Flex plan provides for a three-month grace period after the plan year ends, or March 31st, to submit a request for reimbursement. Expenses must be incurred in the previous calendar year.
- Health FSA allows up to $640 carryover of unused funds from 2024 to 2025.

These costs can be substantially lowered using a pre-tax dependent care FSA.- Up to $5,000 ($250 per paycheck) can be deducted to pay for eligible dependent care expenses.
- An employee with a disabled spouse or a spouse who is a full-time student can claim $250/month for one child and $500/month for two or more children with the maximum election not to exceed $5,000 per calendar year.
