    Overview

    • Honors Band:  Each year, students prepare for auditions in order to have the opportunity to perform in the Middle School and High School Honors Band Concert. Once selected to participate in the concerts, students intensively rehearse to prepare for the concert. On the days before the concert, clinicians are brought in from around the state and work with the students in preparation for the show.

    • Honors Chorus:  This is the “best of the best." Each year, students audition for the opportunity to perform in the Honors Chorus Concert. Once selected, the students go through rigorous rehearsals in preparation for the performance. The day of the concert, the students get a special treat as guest clinicians from around Florida work with them in final preparation for their performance.

    • Honors Orchestra:  Students audition for a spot in the CCPS Honors Orchestra.  Once chosen, students dedicate themselves to rehearsing for the concert.  Guest clinicians from around the country work with the students to prepare for the concert and are the conductors at the concert.
