ATTENDANCE BOUNDARY PROPOSAL - SY 2025-26
-
The Attendance Boundary Review Team comprises a diverse group of CCPS staff, including representatives from District Leadership; Student and Staff Projections, Allocations, and Reporting (SSPAR); Transportation; School Leadership; Teaching and Learning; and other relevant departments as needed, along with a School Board liaison. The team regularly reviews enrollment and residency data, assessing the need for attendance boundary adjustments. Following these assessments, the team meticulously develops various scenarios to formulate a proposal.
When crafting the proposals for community feedback and School Board consideration, the team takes into consideration crucial factors such as keeping neighborhoods cohesive, minimizing the impact on students and communities, evaluating the time and distance of current and proposed bus routes, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and adhering to School Board policy.
To engage with the process or if you have questions, we invite you to reach out to our staff at boundary@collierschools.com. Attendance Boundary Proposals:
The Attendance Boundary Review Team has developed two proposals at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for community feedback and School Board consideration. These proposals, referred to as Option A and Option B, are aligned with each other and presented as alternatives for public input. If approved, the proposed boundary modifications would take effect at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
In addition, the team has developed a separate proposal at the high school level, also intended for community feedback and School Board consideration. Unlike the elementary and middle school proposals, the high school proposal stands alone and is focused on accommodating future growth. If approved, this boundary modification would also take effect at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
Option A (images below):
- Elementary: Establishes an attendance boundary for Bear Creek Elementary School, easing enrollment at Laurel Oak Elementary. Adjustments also impact Veterans Memorial Elementary, Pelican Marsh Elementary, Naples Park Elementary, and Sea Gate Elementary. Additionally, attendance boundary changes alleviate Corkscrew Elementary and Sabal Palm Elementary in preparation for a new elementary school opening in Ave Maria at the start of the 2026-27 school year.
- Middle: Modifies attendance boundaries to shift certain communities from Oakridge Middle to North Naples Middle to improve feeder pattern alignment. Additional adjustments are proposed to address capacity concerns and accommodate anticipated future growth.
- High: Modifies attendance boundaries to support future growth and enhance alignment within feeder patterns. The high school component remains the same in both Option A and Option B.
Option B (images below):
- Elementary: Establishes an attendance boundary for Bear Creek Elementary School to alleviate Laurel Oak Elementary. In this option, minimal adjustments are proposed for schools west of I-75. Attendance boundary changes west of Bear Creek Elementary remain consistent with those outlined in Option A.
- Middle: Adjustments are proposed solely to address capacity concerns and prepare for anticipated future growth.
- High: Modifies attendance boundaries to support future growth and enhance alignment within feeder patterns. The high school component remains the same in both Option A and Option B.
