• Every student at LWTHS takes a full set of college-preparatory classes, and will have multiple opportunities to earn honors or dual enrollment credits. The curriculum at LWTHS meets the course requirements for admission into two-and four- year colleges, and also those of Florida's Bright Futures Scholarship Program. In addition, students have the opportunity to earn certification in one of the technical/career programs.

    Technical Programs

Unlike exploratory or introductory classes, our courses are certificate-earning programs, so students graduate with industry-recognized technical endorsements. Students going onto college will have advanced knowledge in areas of interest, and may find they can earn substantial money through part-time employment. Students going straight into the workforce will do so at higher levels than most high school graduates. All technical program classes taken on our campus earn dual enrollment credit and weight. Many programs have articulation agreements with Florida SouthWestern State College and Florida Gulf Coast University so that students wishing to continue their education at those schools will be awarded college credits for their work completed at LWTC.
