Why do we focus on STEAM?

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. STEAM education integrates the math, logic, speech, analytical, and intellectual capabilities of the left brain with the spatial abilities, visual abilities, visual imagery, arts and music, emotion, and creativity capabilities of the right brain. STEAM activities are cross-disciplinary and encourage students to explore the world around them, develop and create innovative solutions to problems, think deeply, work collaboratively, and communicate their results.
