• In 2018 Highlands was awarded Lighthouse Status as a Leader in Me school. That was the first in Collier County. Since then, Highlands continues to lead the way with Leader in Me activities including Student Leadership Team, Lighthouse Days and Parent Lighthouse Groups. This has positivity impacted the school culture and school grade. In 2019, Highlands achieved its second A in a row by the Florida Department of Education. Highlands is the first school in the state to move from an F to a A and maintain that status for more than one year! The Principals of Leadership continue to help guide the students and staff and Highlands. We continue to work to help all students meet and exceed their personal, academic and leadership goals.
