Purpose and Nature:

Bass Fishing Club
Purpose and Nature
- The Bass Fishing Club/ Team at Immokalee High School is here to promote bass fishing, ethical angling, and conservation within the high school and throughout the community of Immokalee. The club will have meetings, club outings, and the team will compete with other High Schools in B.A.S.S. and MLF high school division tournaments. Overall, this club is meant for students to enjoy the sport of bass fishing and positively represent Immokalee High School and the community of Immokalee throughout the state of Florida.

Best Buddies
Purpose and Nature:
- Best Buddies is all about making sure students with special needs do not have to go through high school alone! Students are matched up with a buddy and are asked to meet with their buddy during lunch or even outside of school at least once a week. Chess Club
Purpose and Nature:
- The chess and shogi club teaches and practices one of the oldest games appreciated the world over. This game encourages strategy, forethought, prediction, and the execution of created plans. Players will compete with each other and work to promote the game at IHS.

College Reach Out and Scholars Program
Students who want to go to college, receive a scholarship/grant/ dorm/ meal ticket
Students fundraise to attend college campus activities, campus tours, leadership, ACT Boot Camp, Graduation Ceremony, and other FGCU sponsored programs.
CROP Club students have the ambition to focus on educational excellence diligently working towards high school graduation and matriculation into post-secondary education. Students work to keep a 2.d GPA. Students are involved in fundraising , volunteerism and school activities, meeting the criteria of meeting weekly, or as designated.

Debate Team
Purpose and Nature:
- The purpose of middle school and high school debate is to provide students with an opportunity to explore local and global issues through a structured exchange of ideas. Students research, draft, and present speeches in a manner that also allows for a constructive clash of ideas with other students. As most schools do not offer Debate courses, the development of these skills is done through an afterschool program. Through Debate students gain multiple skills that they carry with them into adulthood: public speaking, non-verbal communication, current event analysis, constructive criticism, ethos, pathos, and logos, among many others.

Purpose and Nature:
- FCA campus ministry is the largest Christian campus ministry in America. It is initiated by students with the purpose of providing opportunities for students to be impacted for Jesus Christ through engagement in fellowship, teamwork, fun, and competition. The FCA Chapter is a student-lead club that hosts weekly meetings called Huddles which are open to all NHS students, faculty, and staff who are interested in learning more about the life and philosophies of Jesus Christ. FCA also hosts numerous community-building activities and service projects throughout the school year.

Interact Club
Purpose and Nature:
- Interact is a club for young people ages 13-18 who want to join to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about. Interact Club is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Naples which is part of Rotary International. Interact has a membership of over 250,000 youth in more than 11,000 clubs worldwide. it is one of Rotary's fastest growing programs. JROTC - Color Guard
Purpose and Nature:
- Color Guard teaches cadets synchronized movements while holding flags and rifles. This team is the face of JROTC in the community. Color Guard teaches cadets how to use JROTC equipment properly and improve their self confidence in public. Members of Color Guard participate in competitions alongside Drill Team against other schools.

Legal Mock Trial
Purpose and Nature:
- Using a hypothetical case, teams present both sides of a case in the roles of attorneys and witnesses. School district personnel and voluntary bar associations organize the local county and circuit competitions. One team per circuit advances to the state competition organized by the Justice Teaching Center. Students learn critical thinking skills, legal reasoning, analysis, and professionalism, in addition to the structure and function of the courts and the legal process.

National Honor Society
Purpose and Nature:
- The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921.
Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, US Territories, Canada, and around the world. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Raiders Team
Purpose and Nature:
- Raider Team is the physical training portion of the JROTC program. The team focuses on physical endurance to complete tasks such as tire flip, rope bridge, 3k run, obstacle course, and litter carry. The team is dedicated to preparing its mind and body for both county and state competition.

Rifle Team
Purpose and Nature:
- Rifle Team is dedicated to teaching and developing competition-style shooting. Cadets are taught the proper and safe way to shoot and handle air rifles. Each cadet is given a target sheet and try their best to get the most points from each hit on the target. Cadets must pass a rifle safety test before trying out for the team.

Purpose and Nature:
- Robotics is not only the future, it is also the present. Purpose and Nature:
- The Student Government Association represents all students at their High School. S.G.A. provides an opportunity for all students to actively contribute to the academic and social climate of the school campus.
- This club encourages students to participate in the governance of the campus community. One avenue for this participation is through the election of student leaders. The elected officers of the student body, include each Classes’ President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. S.G.A. has open membership in the way of Class Representatives. Any student may represent their class at weekly S.G.A. meetings as a Class Representative however Class Representatives are unable to vote on issues and motions that are presented at meetings.
