Welcome to the Barron Collier High School Media Center! We offer a wealth of resources in both print and electronic formats. Our 21st-century Media Center is designed to accommodate all learners, providing spaces for quiet reading and studying, student collaboration, computer work, club meetings, STEM maker spaces and so much more! Our online databases provide authentic, accurate, and authoritative information accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Barron Collier High School Media Center is to teach and encourage students to use their resources responsibly, effectively and creatively. We aim to provide and maintain resources that meet the needs of all students and staff on campus. Our main goal is to inspire students to be lifelong learners, equipped with the necessary tools to be skillful users and producers of information. We encourage students to take responsibility of their learning and hope to build habits of active learning, critical thinking and expert researching in the students who visit the Media Center throughout the year.
Policies and Procedures
All students and staff are welcome to visit the Media Center. Our hours are 6:45am- 2:45pm every day and we are open during lunch. Students who visit during class must have a pass from their teacher and must sign-in upon entering the Media Center. The Presentation Room, at the back of the Media Center, is available for students and teachers to schedule meetings. It also houses our bulletin board materials including paper resources and the letter cutter.
We are here to help in any way that we can and look forward to seeing you!
