What is Career Dual Enrollment (CDE)?:
CDE at Lorenzo Walker Technical College gives you the chance to earn both high school and postsecondary credits while gaining valuable hands-on experience in your chosen program. Whether you want to enter the workforce after graduation or continue your education, CDE is your way to FastTrack your future.
CDE allows you to take courses at Lorenzo Walker Technical College while you're still enrolled in your home high school. These courses are designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and certifications you need for a wide range of in-demand careers. By completing CDE, you'll not only finish high school with a high school diploma, but also with industry-recognized credentials and college credits that can set you apart when applying for jobs or continuing your education.
Student Eligibility
- A student must be enrolled as a student in a local public high school, charter school, or in a home education program.
- A student must have a 2.0 unweighted GPA.
- A student must be on track to graduate based on credits and required state assessments.
- A student must be approved by the participating high school at which he or she is enrolled, to participate in dual enrollment.
- A student must have applied, completed the admission process and been accepted into Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
Grade Level Eligibility
- High school students, grades 11 and 12*
*For the 2025-2026 school year, seniors will be given preference
