Mr. Diamond: The Untold Story Behind a $25 Million Endowment
The Harold P. Bovenkerk Scholarship for Engineering and Natural Sciences is an exclusive scholarship program only available to students enrolled in CCPS, with annual awards funded through the endowment's investment earnings.
This year, 28 graduating seniors were named Bovenkerk Scholars, earning a combined $1.2 million with scholarships ranging from $5,000 to a four-year full ride. The scholarship supports students pursuing degrees and careers in engineering, natural sciences, and related fields, helping remove financial barriers as they continue their education.
Since its inception in 2023, this scholarship has allowed 153 CCPS students to pursue their dreams by providing more than $7 million in support. It honors the legacy of Harold P. Bovenkerk, whose vision and generosity continue to create life-changing opportunities for Collier County students year after year.
