Hannah Levingston, Everglades City School’s choice for Senior Spotlight, describes her senior year as eventful, informative, and resilient—a reflection of the grit and creativity she brings to her coastal community. A lifelong resident with deep family ties, Hannah has spent years balancing her studies with the demanding physical labor of the stone crabbing industry, often grading 600 pounds of catch a day. Beyond the docks, she has gained local recognition for her artistic talent, designing sold-out apparel for the Florida Stone Crabbers Association and painting murals under the mentorship of her teacher, Mr. Tribble. 

Driven by a spirit of service, Hannah was honored with a "Do The Right Thing" award for her quiet generosity toward a classmate and has been an active volunteer in hurricane relief efforts. After graduation, she intends to remain in Everglades City to continue her family’s legacy in the fishing industry while evolving her art through the craft of welding. 

Guided by her mother’s example of selfless leadership, Hannah proves that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
