• Program Overview

    This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a nursing assistant at the aide/orderly level with hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other health care centers. The nursing assistant is trained to assist and work under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s.

    Per Florida Board of Nursing, the Nursing Assistant Certification Exam must be taken and passed after completing the Nursing Assistant (Long-Term Care) program within four (4) months in order to continue working.

  • Program Structure and Courses

    • This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of 1 occupational completion points. This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44(3) (b), F.S.
