REMINDER: Virtual Learning Day on October 30

VIRTUAL LEARNING DAY - OCTOBER 30, 2020

As a reminder, Friday, October 30, 2020, is the second Virtual Learning Day for all CCPS students. These Virtual Learning Days count as part of the required days of instruction, allowing Collier County Public Schools to maintain the current academic calendar and not extend the school year due to the delayed start. In addition, Thursday, October 29, is an Early Dismissal Day.

The District-developed instructional activities for Friday, October 30, will be accessed through the Virtual Learning Day course in Canvas. All students are enrolled in this Canvas Virtual Learning Day course and simply need to complete the October 30th assignment. These are ungraded assignments and teachers will not be responsible for checking completion.

Students in grades K-5 will complete assignments in English Language Arts (ELA), math, science and social studies. These assignments are grade specific and are estimated to take between 2-3 hours to complete. All students in grades 6-8 will complete a Digital Wellness and Safety curriculum through EverFi called Ignition, and all students in grades 9-12 will complete the EverFi Keys to Your Future curriculum.
