Immokalee High School Beta Club Wins Multiple State Awards

Congratulations are once again in order for the Immokalee High School (IHS) Beta Club! The IHS Betas recently competed at the 2021 State Beta Convention and brought home numerous awards and accolades as follows:


First Place

  • Character Performance
  • Portfolio
  • Service Learning Showcase
  • Drawing Division II/Best in Show - Nayeli Ruiz
  • Spanish (9th Grade) - Cristal Gonzalez-Guerrero
  • Two-Dimentional Design - Emily Hernandez

Second Place

  • Freshman Problem Solving
  • Campaign Skit
  • Math (9th Grade) - Francisco Vasquez-Chavez
  • Science (9th Grade) - Vanessa Lopez-Simon
  • Social Studies (9th Grade) - Lissett Hernandez
  • Spanish (10th Grade) - Yuridia Calhua-Panzo
  • Spanish (11th Grade) - Gisel Matias

Third Place

  • Math (12th Grade) - Jean Vladamir Colas
  • Spanish (12th Grade) - Daniela Bermudez

In addition to the performance awards, Dieulerne Deceus and Lisset Ruiz each received a $500 Beta Scholarship, and Kenniya Miller was elected Beta State Secretary.
