UPDATE #2 - TROPICAL STORM IAN

TROPICAL STORM IAN

UPDATE #2

Sunday, September 25, 2022

Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) continues to monitor Tropical Storm Ian very closely. Based upon the latest tracking models and insight from our partners at the National Weather Center in Miami and National Hurricane Center, the current projected path for Ian has moved westward away from Collier County.

At this time, tomorrow (Monday, September 26) will continue as scheduled:

  • STUDENTS: Monday will continue to be a no school day for students as previously scheduled in the 2022-23 Academic Calendar

  • CCPS Employees: Monday will be a regular work day, with teachers participating in a Professional Development Day

CCPS will continue to monitor the storm's path and collaborate with the National Weather Center and Collier County Bureau of Emergency Management for the latest information regarding potential storm impacts. We will continue to provide updates in anticipation of any possible impacts to normal school operations later in the week.

Please continue to monitor our communication channels for additional updates. Be sure to follow us on our District website (collierschools.com) and on social media (@collierschools) for the latest information.
