Immokalee High School Beta Club Earns Two National Championships
Immokalee High School's Beta Club recently competed at the 44th National Senior Beta Convention in Savannah, Georgia, bringing home two national championships and multiple individual awards as follows:
Group Awards
- 1st Place: Secretarial Campaign
- 1st Place: Service Learning
- 8th Place: Living Literature
- 8th Place: Portfolio
Individual Awards
- 3rd Place: Biomedical 10th Grade - Kayla Reyes
- 7th Place: Biomedical 9th Grade - Ivan Cruz Soriano
- 8th Place: Spanish 12th Grade - Cristal Gonzalez
- 9th Place: Social Studies 9th Grade - Cynthia De Santiago
- 10th Place: Science 10th Grade - Jasmine Avalos
This is the third straight year the team has brought home the national championship in Service Learning. The group also received a Grand Slam service award for volunteering 8,426 hours and were one of five high school clubs named a Harris Leadership Club.
We are extremely proud of the group's achievements and look forward to recognizing them at a future School Board meeting.
