Finalists in the Laws of Life Essay/Speech Competition Just Announced

It is an exciting time in all Collier County schools with the announcement of the finalists for the 2020 Laws of Life Essay/Speech Competition!

The speech judging took place at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Administrative Center with the Blue Ribbon Judges from the community who have participated in this process since it began more than two decades ago. All students in the semifinals are to be commended and recognized for their efforts in this year’s contest, and we look forward to seeing many of these young faces in future years of this competition.

Click here for the names of the four finalists in each division of the competition in alphabetical order. The top sixteen finalists (four finalists in four divisions) will be invited to attend a banquet at the Naples Hilton on Thursday, February 20, at 6:00 p.m. with two guests, their teacher, and the principal of the school. The winners of each division will be revealed at the banquet and will deliver their award-winning speech.

We are proud of all the students who wrote for this contest and believe that the integrity of each person will propel them through life. Through good times and tough times… strength of character resides and supports each person to thrive in life.
